Our story

The Rural Trader opened its doors on the 1st of October 2022. We have been trading for just over 6 months. The ethos behind the store was to create the unexpected in the bush which I believe we have achieved. With a population less than 200 people - I wanted to create something that defined that no matter the location, people can still purchase high quality products and an experience that you would not expect. The original 1930s general store that had been vacant for over 70 years, has been converted into a clothing, homewares, pantry retail shop, coupled with coffee, food and pastries for travellers and locals to enjoy. I have always had a passion for interiors, fashion and food and wanted to create a space for all to enjoy and define that you don’t have to be located in a metropolitan area to have the same experiences.

 

We are a fashion boutique and cafe located here in Nevertire. We are currently the only Nevertire Cafe to offer you all your coffee and brunch needs.
